Kahrs Matt Lacquer is suitable for re-lacquering of matt floors. Kahrs Matt Lacquer is a two-component water based polyurethane finish which is applied with

a roller, brush or applicator. Kahrs Matt Lacquer has excellent durability and is highly resistant to mechanical wear and commonly used household cleaners.

Kährs Matt Lacquer is a 2-component water-based polyurethane

finish for wood and parquet floors. Suitable for re-lacquering

of matt lacquered Kährs floors. Apply with roller, brush

or applicator. The finish has excellent durability and is highly resistant to mechanical wear and commonly used household cleaners and detergents. Kährs Matt Lacquer is suitable for residential and commercial use.

Application

The surface to be finished must be carefully sanded and free of dust, dirt and other foreign materials. Depending on the level of wear on the old surface, this could be done either by relacquering or by sanding down the surface. The temperature of the floor should not be below 14°C nor exceed 28°C. Ideal is a 20°C floor temperature and a relative humidity of 55%.

Add the hardener to the Lacquer and mix thoroughly before use. Open and allow time for air to vaporize prior to application (10 minutes). To be used within 4 hours. Always test the finish on a smaller area to ensure colour and adhesion.

1.Relacquering: Clean the surface using Kährs Remover and then wash the floor with clean water with a slightly damp cloth. Use a little water as possible. Recommended application: 1 coat, coverage 0,1 l/m²

2.Sanding down: Recommended application: 2-3 coats. Buff/screed the floors after first coat. Minimum recommended thickness for coverage is 0,25 l/m2, total amount. Be very careful when using the surface during the first four weeks.

Care and Maintenance

You can walk on the floor 8 hours after the last coat. The surface can hold lighter pieces of furniture after 24 hours. Heavier items as well as rugs need await curing, at least for four days. Regular care involves vacuuming or slightly damp mopping using Kährs Cleaner or Spray Cleaner, see separate information for these products. Allow at least 3 weeks before using strong alkaline cleaning products.

Health and Environment

Kährs Lacquer is not classified as hazardous to your health or the environment. The hardener as separate component is classified as irritant. Usual precautions for handling chemical products should be observed. Ensure adequate ventilation. Use protective goggles and gloves. In case of skin contact, wash thoroughly with soap and water.
