What underlay is best for your needs?
Which underlay is best for you?
We always recommend that underlay should be used
when fitting new flooring.
Why?
It provides a much needed moisture barrier, to stop
the wood flooring from bowing/splitting, whilst also providing a sound proofing
barrier.

Provent (underfloor heating)
This underlay has been
especially manufactured for use with underfloor heating.
It utilises micro
pumping ‘channels’ which essentially circulate and encourage airflow whilst
providing an underfloor ventilation system to
eliminate water vapour.
Platon Stop Wood Flooring Underlay
This underlay is
perfect for when you need extra protection against damp and moisture.
For example, when
laying a wood flooring on top of a concrete sub-floor, damp can easily rise
from this.
The Platon Stop
underlay utilises Platon Air Gap technology which creates a thin air gap
between the concrete base and underlay. Any water vapour released from the
concrete is equalized through this layer.
