Kahrs Wood Flooring Takes On The London Marathon

It’s always great to see members of the wood flooring community getting out there to help a worthy cause. Oak Flooring Direct would like to wish good luck to Kahrs’ Nick Wilkins, who is set to run the London Marathon - his first full marathon - in aid of The Wings Appeal, this Sunday 26 April. The Wings Appeal is the RAF Association's on-going fundraising campaign that helps raise funds needed to support serving and ex-RAF personnel and their families. With under a week to go, Nick is well on target to raise over £2,000 for the charity.

Inspired by other family members, Nick started running last May and has, so far, clocked up 725 miles. He has competed in two half marathons – the Peterborough Great Eastern Run and the Hastings Half - which he finished in 1hr: 48 mins and 1hr: 47 mins.

“Whilst running a full marathon is on my 'bucket list,' it's much more important to me to do this and give something back. We work in a very money-oriented industry and there are so many people who struggle with very little; if I can help in a small way to make someone else's life better, that will be just great,” explained Nick.
